urban decay

So, I have recently graduated from the University of Washington with my MFA in Costume Design. What I'm interested in right now is learning how to produce some of my own work. I'd like to eventually do wearable art fashion shows, installations, and collaborative performance pieces. 

I am  working slowly on a project for Freeway Park in Seattle. I'm creating an outfit for a photo shoot in the fountain area. I've recently learned that the style of architecture is called "brutalist", thank you wikipedia! Here's a picture of the area that inspires me: 


I like the organic quality of the urban decay. This is sounding rather artsy-snobby, but the way that the organic age and moss and dampness modifies the inorganic shapes and materials is aesthetically intriguing. More on this project as I continue...
